Pednekar’s performances have been spectacular in all her movies. She started her career as an assistant casting director of Yash Raj Films. While casting the lead actress for Dum Laga Ke Haisha, she auditioned many girls but all were rejected. Once she tried to enact a demo to give a brief to the film crew, and surprisingly, the casting people chose the act as an audition. They found her perfect for Sandhya’s role in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, and this is how she made her Bollywood debut. Bhumi won many accolades for her performance in the film and is now one of the hottest divas of Bollywood.

Recently, Bhumi opened up about how she is grateful for having landed a role in front of the camera and how she wants to compete with herself to do better on screen.

“My journey in cinema has recently begun and I feel blessed and fortunate that my work has been noticed by some of the best film-makers in the industry. I’m thrilled about my performances being highlighted…As an actor, I can only aspire to do better from here on. I want to compete with myself and do better with each film,” Bhumi was quoted as saying by PinkVilla.

She added: “It has been an incredible year for sure and I have to thank my incredible directors for choosing me to be a part of their vision. Their confidence in me is a huge validation for an artist like me who wants to be a part of the best films that are being made today. I’m cherishing this moment and all the success and it is making me a lot more motivated to only do better work and deliver better performances on-screen.”

In a recent Helo live session, Bhumi revealed her love for Poker and Teen Patti. “One thing people don’t know about me is that I love playing Poker and Teen Patti with family during Diwali. I really enjoy it,” she said.

Throughout the session, she talked about self-acceptance and how it played a significant role in her weight loss journey. The actress also shared a fitness tip, saying that: “Self-acceptance and self-love is the key to any weight-loss journey. The first thing I would tell anyone who asks me about my weight loss is that you should first come to terms with your body, especially at a time like now where you have so many filters that can help in changing the way you look. One shouldn’t stop using them but one should accept the way you look.”

“You should also be disciplined. In my case, I never used to miss the gym no matter what and not eat anything after 7.30 p.m.,” she added.

When asked about her favourite character till date, Bhumi said: “I can’t decide on my favourite character. From the eight films I have done so far, if I were to choose the most fun characters I have played last year, they would be ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ and ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’.”
